The average income for a non-emergency medical transport company

As of 2013, the average income of a NEMT company owner was $46,000, according to job websites. Qualifications vary from state to state even the counties within. A high school diploma is sufficient enough, however, a business or marketing degree can only further assist in marketing your business.

First aid certifications are required in any state. The American Red Cross is a great place to start for those classess.

All drivers with your company will need to take a Defensive Driving course through the National Safety Council. Each company will need to be certified with their state as a NEMT provider.

Contributing factors

The longer a company is in business the more money its owner will earn. Getting the company name out into the community and marketing your business with local retirement homes, hospitals clinics can only help the business grow.
